The nguru (nose flute) are unique to Aotearoa New Zealand. Not one is the same, individually crafting with each nguru having a distinct sound due to the placement of the note stops - wenewene used to make varying pitch and sound. As a musician of traditional sounds - it is satisfying to be able to make and play them.
At Te Kapa Carving, every creation is authentically carved, resonating with the wairua-spirit of the land. Our mahi-mahi flows in harmony with the whenua-land, reflecting the wairua and mauri of Aotearoa New Zealand.
