Toki Pendants
For me the toki, - represents one of the earliest and purest forms of carving. It was itself used as a practical tool to carve out trees or to make waka-canoes, carve wharenui-meeting houses. Today, the toki is remembered and cherished through the wearing of it typically as a neck pendant, called hei toki. It is seen to represent courage strength and connection to our beautiful Maori heritage here in Aotearoa/New Zealand.
